SlopeFillers, the most widely read publication for marketing leaders in the ski and mountain resort industry, featured Centium AI founder Michael Rueckert in a comprehensive interview titled "How Michael Rueckert grew Snowbasin's AI visibility by building an AI SaaS platform."
The interview traces how Rueckert, head of marketing at Snowbasin Resort, identified a revealing gap. While Snowbasin had been named the top resort in North America by SKI Magazine, Outside, and USA Today, searches for "best ski resorts" inside leading AI models rarely surfaced the property. That disconnect between real-world accolades and AI-generated recommendations became the founding insight behind Centium AI.
"I never expected that the angle I'd be most interested in gleaning from Michael would be his adventures building a SaaS side project to help resorts and other brands monitor and optimize their visibility on AI."
— Gregg Blanchard, Founder of SlopeFillers
Rueckert built Centium AI at night, running prompts at scale across the five leading large language models to understand how they evaluate and recommend brands. The platform evolved from a spreadsheet to a PDF report, then a dashboard, and is now a full interactive Answer Engine Optimization platform with automated data feeds.
The approach proved highly effective. By applying insights from the platform, Snowbasin achieved an 88% increase in AI visibility for Utah-based ski resort prompts, a result that validated both the methodology and the category.
"The response has really blown me away. I've worked with global consumer product brands, national agencies, other resorts, and have a long list of major players who expressed interest. The response has indicated that this has very strong potential for product market fit."
