MMGY Origin, the outdoor and adventure travel practice of global travel marketing leader MMGY Global, featured Centium AI in its insights article "Will AI Recommend Your Resort?"
The piece traces the origin of Centium AI back to the December 2024 launch of Google Gemini's Deep Research feature. Founder Michael Rueckert tested the tool by asking it to rank Utah ski resorts, and the results, along with the questions they surfaced, became the seed for what is now one of the first Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) platforms focused on how large language models discover and recommend travel brands.
"If we can see where AI is looking and what they consider important, we can position ourselves to influence that outcome."
— Michael Rueckert, Founder of Centium AI
That core idea drives everything Centium AI does. The platform prompts five leading large language models at scale to study how each forms recommendations inside a given industry, and gives resorts and destinations a clear view of where they stand and what it will take to rank more consistently inside AI answers. At the time of publication, Centium AI was already supporting more than 40 outdoor brands.
